Smartphones, Android still dominates in the U.S.
The market for smartphones in the United States is further expanding and 40% of consumers now own such a device type. Android success continues to grind and is currently the most popular operating system, with a market share of 40% . The following Apple’s iPhone OS , with 28% of installed base.
The report released by Nielsen is similar to the results shown during the last week from ComScore, which had given for the operating system of Google a share of 41.8% of the market, followed by Apple with the iPhone OS 27%.Nielsen has analyzed the data further sales in the U.S. and not only confirmed the excellent time for Android , but also noted that the U.S. has 33% of users plan to buy a new smartphone over the next year.
