We talked about it in very difficult times , even when the netbook Cedar Trail were not available on the market. Today, Packard Bell has announced the renewal of its netbook, called the Packard Bell dot s_C, similar in design to an Acer Aspire One D270 with Intel Atom Cedar Trail. Unlike some competing models, Packard Bell dot s_C can take full advantage of the hardware platform on which it is based. Adopting an Intel Atom N2600dual core 1.6GHz with Hyper-Threading, the new Packard Bell netbook is able to reduce consumption and temperatures, despite the small size of the ventilation grille.
The CPU Cedarview is accompanied by 1GB of DDR3 RAM, the maximum capacity allowed forWindows 7 Starter Edition, and a 320GB hard drive. The graphics component is assigned to the integrated graphics Intel GMA 3600 which, through the HDMI port, able to manage and play full HD video on a monitor or on an external television. The LCD has an LED backlit10.1-inch diagonal and a resolution WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels).
The equipment is completed by a 3-megapixel VGA webcam, SD card reader, 802.11n WiFi module, Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, three USB 2.0 ports but no USB 3.0 port, VGA output and audio jacks. The 6-cell 4400mAh battery provides a Packard Bell dot s_C a range of about 8 hours. It weighs 1.3Kg and a thickness of 24 mm, the new Packard Bell netbook will be marketed by the end of March
